What did you read this weekend?

Wow…is it Monday again?!?

We were able to sneak in some reading time this weekend!
Were you?

You know how this goes…
we’ll show you ours if you show us yours!!

Tell us what you’re reading!!

Ana:  I finally found some time to start reading Half Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout.  Since several of the other Litbrarians and many of our blog friends highly recommend this series, I decided it was time to get started on it.   So far I’m enjoying Alex’s spunk and her interactions with Aiden and I’m hoping that we see him let go of that stoic, controlled facade because I just know there’s some smoldering heat under there!!  Can’t wait to discuss this book with all of you who’ve read it and, of course, I’m sure I’ll head straight into book 2 in the series, Pure.

Christina: This weekend I read Embrace (The Violet Eden Chapters #1) by Jessica Shirvington. First off, the cover is so pretty, isn’t it? Now, for the actual book… I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read that brought an interesting twist the angel world (or of the angel books that I’ve ever read) and those guardians set about the Earth to govern the angels, as well as the hierarchy that separates them all. There’s a fast pace to the story that kept me flipping the pages and devouring the book in a short period of time. I’ll be looking forward to the next book in this series because a lot of my questions were left unanswered in this novel.

Celeste: I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Mystic City (Mystic City #1) by Theo Lawrence. So far it’s sucking me in ~ Aria is the daughter of one of 2 prominent feuding families in this dystopian society. She lost  many parts of her memory a few weeks earlier and now finds herself engaged. So far lots of suspicious things including magic… and I can’t wait to continue reading!

Now it’s your turn…. :

  1. I spent my weekend plowing through The Eden series by Nicole Williams. Completely loved it!!! I am definitely going to read Patrick’s series, because he was the highlight for me.

Thanks for reccing these books. 🙂

  2. Ooh, these all sound so great! I’ve been back and forth on Mystic City, if I want to read it when it comes out, but I think that’s because I didn’t know much about it. Sounds great though!

I started Fathomless (ARC) over the weekend, but didn’t get too far into it. It’s pretty good so far and I have high hopes it’ll get even better!

  3. I read Cost of Repairs by A.M. Arthur. Great M/M romance about two very broken men who find healing and happiness with each other.

  4. I read Love Blossoms by Julie A Lindsey, and Married by Mistake by Abby Gaines. I started Double Clutch by Liz Reinhardt.

  5. Ana: 2 clicks:

    that. is. all.

  6. LOVING DAVID by Gina Hummer. Just finished it. I am emotionally spent. Planning on doing a RAVE review on Goodreads.com Once Ive recovered, I’m on to Creed by Kristen Ashley (cant wait)

  7. I’m currently reading The False Princess by Eilis O’Neal.

Princess and heir to the throne of Thorvaldor, Nalia’s led a privileged life at court. But everything changes when it’s revealed, just after her sixteenth birthday, that she is a false princess, a stand-in for the real Nalia, who has been hidden away for her protection. Cast out with little more than the clothes on her back, the girl now called Sinda must leave behind the city of Vivaskari, her best friend, Keirnan, and the only life she’s ever known.

So far I’m really enjoying this but it feels a little younger than I expected. I’m holding hope that the love interest with re-emerge and the slow burn will begin.

Looks to be the first book in a a series.
